Jack Ready Imagination Park

The Jack Ready Imagination Park, will be a universally accessible park where all children, regardless of physical limitation, will be able to play side by side. Things are moving forward for the development of the 33 acres of land on the Nipomo Mesa that were donated to JHH for the park site. We're hoping to complete this dream park by the end of 2012.

Features of the park will include themed play structures, a sand play area, soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts and a therapeutic riding center. The entire park will be accessible by foot, bike, stroller, wheelchair and walker. Various funding opportunities and grants are being sought to make this park dream come true. If you have interest in making a special donation for the Imagination Park please contact us at (805)-547-1914 or email jhh@jackshelpinghand.org.

The San Luis Obispo County Planning Commission approved the conditional use permit, 5-0 for the Jack Ready Imagination Park at their meeting held on April 14, 2011. The park project team had the opportunity to explain the details of the project and it's community benefits to the Planning Commission to encourage their support.

JHH would like to recognize and show our deep appreciation for the support of individuals who recently volunteered their time and services to assist us with completing a grant application, we couldn't have done it with out them!
