About the JHH Birthday Club

The Birthday Club was started in 2008 when two local philanthropic 13-year-olds, Ali and Taylor celebrated their birthdays by raising $500 for Jack's Helping Hand. The money was used to purchase a Kaye Walker Wagon and a Kettler Happy Navigator Tricycle – both specially designed for children who have challenges with balance and mobility. Inspired by their generosity, other young people expressed the desire to help our organization and other children in the community. We launched the Birthday Club program to support these philanthropic youth.

Teens, college students and adults can also be involved by hosting a party with a purpose whether it’s a birthday, holiday or company party or any other special get together. Instead of presents, guests are encouraged to bring monetary gifts to benefit our organization. As a member of the Birthday Club, we will send you a package of birthday party invitations, party favor boxes, accessories, balloons, and thank you notes. You get to choose how you want your gift to be spent for JHH whether it be to help pay family medical bills, buy a piece of equipment, provide scholarships or purchase a new toy for our adaptive toy lending libraries. We’ll even provide a press release announcing how much you raised. After your party or event, you can post photos on our site to share with friends and inspire others to join the Birthday Club.
